I just finished rebuilding the Hangar 9 PT-19 that I planted some time ago. In the process, I eliminated the dihedral and stretched the fuselage. Test flight should be this Sunday, weather permitting.

Since the electrical powered stunts are alowed on FAI F2B, the hand starting is not mandatory anymore, so I decided that it is a good ideea to save time using from now an electrical starter if the engine it's a donkey! Also I still have engines wich are starting like "honey", just from the first flick! For me it looks like your problem is not the NVA, but the ventury, yes. Did you tried with a larger one?

The problem was the setting. It was set way too rich and flooded. This thing is a monster when flooded cold. I took it home and checked it out, reset the needle, and ran it in the back yard. It is no problem if you avoid flooding it.

Yes, my opinion is, as I said, ventury to small...it could be a possibility to flood easy the engine if it is not used carefully.

Transplant done.
UPDATE: Test ran the engine. It wouldn't stay running. Might have some bad fuel. I know I had at least one bad new plug if not 2. Both Fox. I will try again later.
